The out-apiary by Wilma Aksnes 21:12
First flight of the year
Eleven degrees at noon and every hive was flying. Hive four, which I had written off in January, was the busiest of the lot, with pollen coming in on two legs out of three.
I lifted each box from behind to judge the stores. Two are light and will get fondant this week; the rest can wait for the willow.
