To set up a printer

Do this once for each printer you use. It takes about five minutes.

Before you begin

Have the printer switched on and its cable plugged in.

chronoskin prints through a small file called a driver, one for each make of printer. Drivers for 340 printers are on disk 3.

Steps

  1. On the File menu, click Printer Setup.
  2. Click Add, then choose the maker and the model.
  3. When you are asked for the port, type LPT1 unless your printer's booklet says otherwise.
  4. Click Print Test Page.

Note: if your model is not in the list, choose the nearest lower number from the same maker.

Warning: do not unplug the cable while the test page prints. The printer may need to be switched off and on again.
