Is it really free?

Yes. Talks and recordings cost nothing. A workshop place is free too, but there are only 100 in each.

What if I miss a talk?

Do I need a chronoskin account?

No. An email address is enough to register and to watch.

The first five minutes

Wednesday 12 June, 09:30, main stage. Forty minutes with questions.

Why most learners leave before lesson two

Half of the people who start an online course never open its second lesson. Ingrid has watched nine thousand of them go, and found that the reason is almost always in the first five minutes.

What the talk covers

The opening of a course has one job: to let the learner make something small before the doubt arrives. Ingrid shows three openings of her own, two that failed and one that kept eight in ten learners.

You will leave with

  • A five-minute opening you can film this week
  • The one sentence to cut from every welcome
  • A way to measure it: look for lesson_2_opened in your reports

Who it is for

Anyone with a course that is planned or already running. No equipment and no experience of filming needed.
