Made by people who get lost

chronoskin began as a spreadsheet of walks shared between four friends.

It is still built the same way: one route at a time, checked on foot. We would rather list six hundred good walks than six thousand untested ones.

What a route includes

  • A line you can follow on the map
  • Start point, parking and the nearest bus stop
  • Notes from the last person who walked it

Each route also carries one of the labels above. Green means the path was open when it was last walked, amber that it was passable but wet, red that a bridge or a gate was shut.

Bring your own tracks

Drop a file from your watch onto the map, or send it to import@chronoskin.example, and it becomes a route you can share.
