One critter, one number, one keeper

A critter comes with its number and the day it was made. Nobody can make a second one, and the whole club can see whose shelf it sits on.

How keeping works

From the pond to your shelf Four steps, and the first takes less than a minute.

1

Join the drop

Leave a name and an email. No wallet is needed to start.

2

Draw a critter

You get the next one out of the pond. Which one is a surprise.

3

Put it on a shelf

Your shelf is a page of its own, with every critter you keep.

4

Swap when you like

Offer it to another keeper. A swap is done when both say yes.

What do I own when I keep one?

The numbered critter and its place on your shelf. The picture may be used by anybody; the number is yours alone.

Do I need a wallet?

Not to start. You can connect one later and move your critters into it.

Can I choose which one I get?

No. A draw is a surprise. Swapping is how you get the one you wanted.

What happens after ten thousand?

The pond is closed for good. Only swaps go on.

360 left in the pond

Drop 7 closes on Sunday at noon, or when the last critter is drawn.

Keeper's guide

Drawing, keeping and swapping, in plain words.

How keeping works

A critter is a numbered clay figure. Whoever keeps it is written next to its number, for everybody to read.

When you draw one, the record says so under a reference such as POND-6641. From then on only you can offer it for a swap.

Swapping

An offer names the critter you give and the one you want, or a price. The other keeper says yes or lets it lapse after a week.

Before you offer

  • Check how many of its colour exist.
  • Look at the lowest swap of its drop.
  • Remember that a done swap cannot be undone.

Leaving the club

Your critters stay yours. See what each drop is worth today or draw your first one.

Your shelf is empty

Draw a critter and it stands here, with its number under it.
