New: jars for two homes

Pocket money you can squish into jars

Every Saturday the money drops in. Children split it between jars to spend, to save and to give, and watch each one fill up.

Fill

Pocket money lands on the day you pick and waits to be shared out.

How filling works

Split

Drag a slice into each jar. The split is theirs, the limits are yours.

Setting limits

Grow

A goal has a picture and a price, and the jar shows how far it is.

Give

One jar is for somebody else: a present, a cause, a sister.

The giving jar

Saturday is jar day

The same small ritual every week: money in, a choice made, a jar a little fuller.

Is real money in the jars?

No. The jars keep count of money you hold for your child. You pay it out when a jar is spent.

Can two homes share a child's jars?

Yes, on the Family plan. Each home fills on its own day.

What happens when a month ends?

Nothing moves. Jars carry over until they are spent or emptied.

How do we stop?

From the family page, on any day. The jars stay readable for a year.

Ask a question

How filling works

On jar day the pocket money arrives in one lump and waits to be shared out between the jars.

You set the amount and the day once. Each fill is kept under its own reference, such as SAT-09, so that both homes see the same Saturday.

Who decides the split

Your child does, inside the limits you set. A limit is a smallest or a largest share for one jar.

A common set of limits

  • At least a tenth goes to the giving jar.
  • At most half goes to the spending jar.
  • The rest is free to move between goals.

When a jar is spent

Tap the jar and choose Spend. You hand over the money, and the jar starts again from zero. See how many jars each plan has or make the first one.
