A filling station on a coast road that closed in 2019. The lights still come on at dusk.
One evening, one room, any number of people. We send the file a week before.
Thirty-one plates are cleared for editorial use with a credit.
Plate 14 as a print of 60 by 34 cm, twelve copies.
Nobody has bought fuel here for seven years, and nobody has told the timer.
The road was moved inland after the cliff went. The station stayed, and so did its supply. At 17:50 in November the roof lights come on, the sign follows a minute later, and the forecourt is the brightest place for twenty kilometres.
One camera on one tripod, moved four times a night. The file names follow the pattern F09_n3_p14: film, night, plate.
