We wanted a record that sounds like the last hour before the lights come up.
The hall had been closed for nine years. The pool was empty, the tiles were still there, and every sound came back four seconds late. We set up in the deep end and played to the echo.
Nothing was recorded before ten at night. Catalogue number CS 004; the first pressing is numbered by hand.
