About this variety

An old greenhouse tomato, grown for flavour and not for the shelf.

The plants reach two metres and need a cane or a string. Pinch out the side shoots and stop the plant after six trusses, so that the last fruit ripens before the light goes.

Sowing

  • Sow in small pots at 18 to 21 degrees
  • Pot on when the first true leaves show
  • Plant out under glass in early May

Ordering by code

Every packet has a code on the back. Type TOM-AP-20 into the search box to find this one again.

Before you order

How many plants will one packet give me?

Twenty seeds, of which eighteen or more should come up. Most gardens want four to six plants.

Can it grow outdoors?

In a warm summer, against a south wall. Under glass it crops a month longer.

What if nothing comes up?

Tell us before the end of the season and we replace the packet, no questions asked.
